This page explains how to delete your SunPlanner account and what happens when you do. SunPlanner creates a private account identity when the app first starts, even if you never link it to Google. These instructions apply to both unlinked accounts and accounts linked to Google.
1. Cancel your subscription first, if you have one
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. If you're subscribed through Google Play, it keeps billing on schedule until you cancel it separately.
Cancel your subscription in Google Play’s subscriptions page before deleting your account if you don't want to be charged again.
2. Delete in the app (the fastest way)
Open SunPlanner, then go to Settings > Account > Delete account and confirm when asked. If the subscription screen is showing, use Want to delete your account instead? on that screen. Both paths work whether your account is unlinked or linked to Google.
3. Can't use the app? Email us instead
You do not need to reinstall SunPlanner to request deletion. Email us at the address in section 6 and say that you want your SunPlanner account deleted. If you linked Google, write from the same Google address. If you never linked Google, tell us that the account was unlinked and include any details you still have about the installation or a code you redeemed. We'll reply with the verification steps needed to locate and delete the right account without letting someone else request deletion on your behalf.
4. What gets deleted
- Your account identity (stored with our backend provider, Supabase).
- Your customer record with our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat.
5. What is NOT deleted
- A one-way hash of your linked Google account, if you linked one, kept for fraud prevention. We keep a cryptographic hash (not your actual Google identity, and not reversible back to it) so the same person can't repeatedly claim free-trial or promotional offers by deleting and recreating an account. It isn't usable to identify you and isn't linked to anything else.
- Your de-identified code redemption records. If you ever redeemed a code in the app, the code and redemption date are kept indefinitely so limited-use codes cannot be reused. SunPlanner does not send or store your location with a code redemption. We don't currently have a process that deletes redemption records on a schedule. Deleting your account removes the identity tied to the record, not the de-identified record itself. See our Privacy Policy for what gets recorded and why.
- Data saved only on your device. Your equipment specs, calibration data, and production history were never uploaded to us, so account deletion doesn't touch them. Clear the app's storage or uninstall SunPlanner to remove those yourself.
- An active subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel billing. See section 1.
